Professional Photocopier Notary Requirement (SB 1467)

Effective January 1, 2015, pursuant to Senate Bill 1467, the Los Angeles County Registrar/Recorder County Clerk’s Office will require the professional photocopier to maintain a valid notary commission during the entire period that the certificate of registration is effective. The registrant shall notify the county clerk and provide an updated valid notary commission if the commission expires prior to the expiration of the certificate of registration.

Please note that no additional fee will be charged.

This requirement has been made in accordance with the legislative amendment of Business and Professions Code section 22454.
