Republican Party

Republicans are proud of the leadership provided to our country by both Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and President George W. Bush.

The Republican Party supports:

• Personal responsibility. It is the role of government's to secure every person's natural right to pursue the benefits of society for themselves and their families.
   
• Free enterprise. Commerce unimpeded by burdensome regulations is the key to prosperity and economic growth. Excessive taxation and regulations result in the destruction of our state's business climate and the exodus of jobs from California.
   
• Cutting of government spending and waste. Runaways government spending needs to be reigned in before it bankrupts our state. California spends almost twice as much as it did three decades ago and has nothing to show for it. Only the people must decide when taxes need to be increased.
   
• School Accountability. Student progress should be monitored through testing with results and reports provided to parents to ensure accountability.
   
• Firm immigration policies. Federal immigration law should be followed to decrease gang violence, human and drug trafficking. Securing our borders is vital to securing the safety of our citizens.
