BALLOT RECEIVING AREA
RR/CC South Lobby


After ballots are transported to RR/CC Headquarters by LA County Sheriff Deputies, “Red Box Scanning” is completed, During this process, individual red ballot boxes containing voted ballots are scanned to track and ensure ballots have arrived at RR/CC Headquarters.

 
BALLOT INSPECTION AREA
RR/CC Third Floor


Once received at RR/CC Headquarters, ballots are transported to the “Ballot Inspection” area. This step includes the inspection and preparation of ballots by staff prior to being tallied.

 
BALLOT TALLY AREA
RR/CC Third Floor - MTS Room


Following ballot inspection and preparation, the ballots are transferred to the secured Microcomputer Tally System (MTS) room of RR/CC Headquarters to be tallied. Votes tabulated are posted as election results online at www.lavote.net.
